Yes!
Today is a landmark for two reasons.
1. I have lost some weight! Yay. I know because now I can get into the ‘Close Guantanamo Bay’ t-shirt I purchased some time ago from the American Civil Liberties Union.
2. The day I decide to wear said t-shirt this happens. A step in the right direction. We’ll close it! Oh yes [...]

Time We Close Guantánamo
Something I believe very strongly in is closing Guantánamo Bay.
What’s happening at Guantánamo is a national shame. Convictions can be based on evidence derived from torture, hearsay and secret evidence.
Many of the accused were held in secret prisons, denied access to lawyers for years and tortured. Basic human rights violated.

YES WE CAN!!!! A wonderful day - I will be sending money to Obama’s Presidential campaign, even though I can not vote for him. He is a beacon of hope after all these terrible terrible years with Bush.

“An American Who Likes Doctor Who - I guess stranger things have happened.
- M*** “
This kind of ignorance makes me livid. I will not abide racism of any sorts this included because to me that’s what it is. Can you really only be [...]

America The Expensive.
I had a call with a lawyer today about changing my visa status once I am married. She has helped me before so was super friendly and nice.. didn’t soften the $5K blow to process the paper work which consists of 5 different forms and a medical plus INS fees of $1600. It’s not cheap [...]

Where is George?
When I first came to the states I was given a dollar bill from a shop keeper in change which had “see where I’ve been track where I go www.whereisgeorge.com
At the time I didn’t bother to track it, but recently I got another ‘Where’s George Bill’ and I took the time to track it. Kind [...]
